Luggage storage in Miami, by neighborhood
Last reviewed: November 5, 2026. Sources for this page are listed in its fact sheet.
Short answer first. Miami's bag storage runs on two networks of partner shops and hotels, Bounce and LuggageHero, plus one airport checkroom. Bounce starts at $4.95 per bag per day. LuggageHero starts at $1.50 per hour or $5.90 per day at most Miami locations, with a higher rate card downtown. Miami International Airport has no lockers, but it does have a staffed baggage checkroom in Central Terminal E, open 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., priced by bag size from $12 a day. Pick your neighborhood below. The right answer changes by a few blocks.

How the two platforms work
Both sell storage inside existing businesses: a shop, a cafe or a hotel desk holds your bag in a back room, and you book and pay through the platform. Bounce charges a flat per bag rate for a full day, and every booking includes $10,000 of bag protection. LuggageHero lets you choose an hourly or a daily rate, you pay at pick-up rather than in advance, a one-time service fee per bag is added at checkout, and its included guarantee covers up to $500 per bag, with paid upgrades offered. Neither is a locker bank. Your bag goes to a person, during that business's hours, so check the location's closing time before you book a late pick-up.
South Beach and Miami Beach
This is the deepest coverage in the city, because early arrivals and late checkouts are a daily pattern here. Bounce lists spots across Miami Beach, including Mid-Beach and North Beach, around Lummus Park, Lincoln Road and EspaƱola Way, from $4.95 per bag per day. LuggageHero lists Miami Beach and South Beach locations on its standard Miami rate card: from $1.50 per hour or $5.90 per day, plus the $1.99 per bag service fee. If your gap is two hours, the hourly rate wins. If it's a beach day, take the daily rate and stop watching the clock.
Staying the night after all? A hotel day pass turns a bag problem into a pool day, and our Miami hotel day passes guide compares those options.
Brickell and downtown
Bounce lists Brickell spots near Brickell City Centre, Mary Brickell Village and Brickell Station, plus downtown spots around Bayside Marketplace and Bayfront Park, on the same $4.95 starting rate. LuggageHero's verified downtown coverage runs through Downtown, Government Center and MiamiCentral, and its rate card there is higher: from $1.99 per hour or $6.90 per day, plus a $2.49 per bag service fee. Read the location page before you book, because LuggageHero's price genuinely varies by neighborhood in Miami. One city, two rate cards.
At the airport: MIA's checkroom, not lockers
Here's the fact most roundups get wrong. MIA has no public luggage lockers. It does have a staffed Baggage Checkroom on the second level of Central Terminal E, run by Communitel, open daily from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. The airport's posted rates run by the bag's longest side: $12 a day up to 18 inches, $14 to 24 inches, $16 to 32 inches, $18 to 40 inches, $22 up to 4 feet, and $24 for oversized pieces up to 10 feet, with a note that prices may change without notice. For a long layover with a big suitcase, that's the simplest legal answer inside the terminal. Our MIA airport guide covers the rest of a layover day.

Cruise day bags
PortMiami's own site publishes no luggage storage policy, and the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau states plainly that the port has no luggage storage facilities. So the plan is one of three: check bags with your cruise line at check-in where the line allows it (it varies by line, so ask yours), store bags downtown or near the port through Bounce, which lists a Port Miami area page, or store them in South Beach and spend the gap there. Our cruise passenger luggage guide walks the cruise version of this in full.
Brightline and MiamiCentral
Don't count on the station. Brightline's baggage policy covers checked bags for travel only: bags larger than a carry-on must be checked with a Guest Service agent at least 30 minutes before departure, and checked bags should be added to your booking in advance. The policy lists no standalone storage service at MiamiCentral, so a bag you aren't traveling with needs a downtown platform spot instead. The Government Center and MiamiCentral locations above sit within a short walk of the station.
The hotel desk option
Most hotels will hold bags for their own guests before check-in and after checkout. Treat it as a custom to confirm, not a right: message the property the day before, ask directly, and tip the person who takes the bag. If the answer is no, the platform spots above are the fallback, and they're usually within a few blocks of the hotel anyway.
The facts that matter
Luggage storage facts checked November 5, 2026 on the platforms' and airport's own pages: Bounce Miami spots start at $4.95 per bag per day, including $10,000 bag protection, with pages for Miami Beach, South Beach, Brickell, the airport area, Little Havana, Bayside, Wynwood and Port Miami. LuggageHero's standard Miami card is from $1.50 per hour or $5.90 per day plus a $1.99 per bag service fee, rising to $1.99 per hour or $6.90 per day plus $2.49 at MiamiCentral and Government Center. MIA has no lockers; its staffed Baggage Checkroom in Central Terminal E, level 2, is open daily 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. with posted rates of $12 to $24 per day by bag size. Brightline's policy covers checked bags for travel only and lists no storage service. PortMiami's own site publishes no storage policy.
