Pegasus World Cup Visitor Guide

Last reviewed: November 3, 2026. Sources for this page are listed in its fact sheet.

Short answer first. The Pegasus World Cup runs on Saturday, January 30, 2027 at Gulfstream Park, 901 S. Federal Highway in Hallandale Beach, the city between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. It is South Florida's richest race day and its most dressed up one: a full card of stakes races built around the Pegasus World Cup Invitational, with hospitality, live entertainment, and a social scene that treats the racing as the main event of a party. The one date to act on now is not race day itself. Per the organizer, renewals and deposits open on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, and the five ticket offerings below were still listed as coming soon when this page was checked on November 3. Pick your tier and your hotel area from this page, then buy the moment your tier opens.

What is the Pegasus World Cup, exactly?

Launched by 1/ST in 2017, the Pegasus World Cup is a single race day at Gulfstream Park built around three headline races: the Pegasus World Cup Invitational (Grade 1, run at 1 1/8 miles on dirt for horses aged four and up), the Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational (Grade 1), and the Pegasus World Cup Filly and Mare Turf Invitational (Grade 2), inside a wider card of stakes races. The 2027 running is the 11th edition, per Gulfstream Park's 2026 to 2027 Championship Meet stakes schedule, which lists the final purses for the three Pegasus races as to be announced; this page prints no purse figure for 2027 because the organizer has not published one yet. The scale of the day is real: the organizer records that the tenth edition in 2026 set a race day wagering record of $48.5 million and reached audiences in more than 150 territories. The 2026 champions, for form readers, were Skippylongstocking in the Invitational, Test Score in the Turf Invitational, and Destino d'Oro in the Filly and Mare Turf. This guide covers attending, not wagering: where to sit, where to stay, and how the day runs. Gulfstream Park has wagering windows and tellers on site as a normal part of a race day, and that is the extent of what a visitor guide needs to say about it.

The five ticket offerings, compared

Every offering below is from the organizer's own ticket page. As of November 3, 2026, each is listed as coming soon, with renewals and deposits opening Wednesday, November 4. No 2027 prices had been published when this page was checked, so none are printed here; the comparison that matters at this stage is what each tier actually is, so you know which one to grab when sales open.

Luxury Suites. The top tier: a private, furnished suite for your group with a balcony overlooking the homestretch and finish line, with customizable food and beverage packages from the event's hospitality partners and access to live entertainment.

Ten Palms. The race day restaurant: a full day of dining with floor to ceiling panoramic windows over the homestretch and finish line, walk around tellers, and multiple seating options. This is the tier for a group that wants the day built around a table.

Flamingo Room. An intimate VIP room overlooking the finish line, with floor to ceiling windows, hospitality food and drink offerings, and live entertainment. Smaller and more social than the suites, at the same end of the track that matters.

Carousel Club. The party tier: on the rail homestretch views, live performances, partner activations, and culinary offerings, built as a standing, social race day rather than a seated one.

The Clubhouse. The traditional race day, and the broadest offering: dining, reserved seating, and general admission experiences around the Walking Ring, the Grandstand, and the Apron. If you are coming for the racing itself, this is the honest starting point.

The decision order is simple. Decide your tier now, register your interest on pegasusworldcup.com, and act on November 4 if your tier takes deposits, because the premium rooms are the ones that go first in a normal year and this page will be updated when general prices publish.

Where to stay: the four honest options

Gulfstream Park sits inland on Federal Highway in Hallandale Beach, so no hotel is at the track; the choice is which base you want for the rest of the weekend.

Hallandale Beach and Aventura, the close base. The shortest race day trip and the calmest logistics. You trade the beach scene for an easy morning, and the Village at Gulfstream Park, the dining and shopping complex at the track itself, carries the evenings.

Sunny Isles Beach, the luxury base. One city north of Hallandale Beach, with the county's most polished resort strip. Our Acqualina Resort guide covers the standout; it is the stay to pick if race day is half of a luxury weekend rather than the whole of it.

Hollywood Beach, the value and boardwalk base. Just north of Hallandale Beach, with a broadwalk scene and gentler prices than the Miami Beach strip. Our Hollywood Beach guide covers it, labelled as the Broward city it is.

Miami Beach, the scene base. The full South Beach weekend, at the price of the longest race day drive of the four, on a Saturday when half the county is moving. Pick it for the nights, not for the racing morning.

The weekend collision nobody warns you about

Pegasus Saturday is also Miami Marathon weekend. The Life Time Tropical 5K runs in Miami on Saturday, January 30, and the Miami Marathon and Half run on Sunday, January 31, finishing at Bayfront Park. Two of the winter's biggest visitor events land on the same two days, which is why hotels tighten across both counties that weekend and why the move is to book the room when you book the race day ticket, not after. If you are doing both, stay north for Saturday night and let Sunday morning's drive to the marathon finish area be someone else's traffic problem; spectating at Bayfront Park pairs naturally with a downtown brunch after.
